EXPERIENCE THE DUNCANBY DIFFERENCE

About Duncanby

Duncanby Lodge is one of the most respected salmon and halibut fishing destinations in BC and is ranked as one of the best in Canada. Located in Rivers Inlet (GPS 51°24'16.63"N 127°38'43.69"W), on British Columbia’s breathtaking Central Coast, our guests come from all over Canada, the United States and even Europe to experience the Duncanby Difference.

The Keay Family have owned and operated Duncanby since 2003 and are involved in every aspect of the Lodge. Duncanby offers an amazing location, great fishing grounds within minutes of the dock, relaxing and comfortable accommodations, superior staff and flexible fishing and dining times. Not one detail has been overlooked, that is the Duncanby Difference!

Rivers Inlet is home to a diverse recreational fishery and produces some of the world’s largest Chinook salmon. Duncanby’s support of the Percy Walkus Hatchery, located at the head of the Inlet, furthers the conservation and sustainability of this amazing species for generations to come. Fishing grounds vary from large bull kelp beds, to the deep open ocean, to river estuaries, all of which hold multiple fish species. These conditions provide anglers the option to use a variety of fishing techniques: mooching, trolling, jigging, spin casting and fly fishing.

A stay at Duncanby Lodge includes all the necessary gear required. Anglers can choose to fish self-guided in our fleet of 18.5 foot Bridgeview centre console boats or in our Guided fleet of 23-26 foot Grady White’s.

In addition to the great fishing the Duncanby Team also values the time to take in the spectacular landscape which includes 40 kilometers (28 miles) of ocean and mountains leading to the headwaters of the Wannock and Kilbella Rivers. There are multiple islands in the Inlet and bays boiling with sea life. Humpback whales, bears and eagles are just a few of the wildlife that you’ll take in.
